Norfolk is tucked away in a corner of East Anglia and offers hundreds of miles of coastal scenery. It also boasts perhaps the best weather in the UK, with temperatures in the summer months consistently amongst the highest in the country and at times challenging those on the Continent. It is a fairly flat region on the whole with many of them close to the popular seaside towns of Great Yarmouth, Cromer and Hunstanton, and also around the medieval city of Norwich, with its wide range of shopping, culture, heritage and restaurants.

Play golf at some great golf courses.

Best of all the 3-links courses: Brancaster (the smartest) Cromer (the closet) and Sherringham (the most dramatic, with part of the course running along cliffs). One course that perhaps best encapsulates all the qualities of golfing in Norfolk is the one that is found at Eaton Golf Club. Located just outside Norwich, it is described as a "veritable golfing oasis within the city", and was designed in part by JH Taylor, the four times Open Champion. It is one of the oldest, and finest, courses in the region.

Combining great golf with great weather, there can surely be few finer places to indulge in some fantastic golfing fun.

Branscaster Golf

BRANCASTER

Royal West Norfolk Golf Club (Brancaster) is an outstanding links course set on the North Norfolk coast. With the North Sea on one side and the saltmarsh on the other it has a wonderfully atmospheric setting, and is ranked 61st in the World (for courses you can play) and 14th in England by Golf World.

SHERINGHAM

Ranked 70th in the 2025 National Club Golfer Top 100 Courses in England and Top 100 in Golf Worlds top courses; every year sees Sheringham working hard to enhance Members’ and visitors’ enjoyment of our glorious cliff-top location. And, every year, our teams manage to achieve just that. Both on the course and in our relaxed and spacious Clubhouse.

Eaton's reputation of being one of the finest in the region can be attributed to their balancing of the needs of the golfer with caring for the wildlife and habitat. The course is an attractive and mature parkland design, offering a unique challenge to golfers of all abilities looking to escape the busy city life.

They are frequently referred to as a hidden gem due to our unique location being so close to Norwich city centre, and the contrasting tranquility of the course.
