Paul and I are both NHS doctors; indeed, our 3 children have followed in our footsteps, making 5. Alongside raising our children, we have always shared a passion for architecture and garden design, and this has been our Grand Design, with all the ups and downs you might expect over the last 35 years! When we bought Old Manor Farmhouse, we intended to keep the barn for our 2 horses and never planned to convert it, but it was in such a perilous state that our hands were forced. Much of the design and physical building has been done by us with the use of free child labour, of course.
