One of the best short break accommodation we have ever stayed in! Beautiful conversion which had something for everyone of us. Dorothy in particular enjoyed the gardens and sitting in the sun relaxing. We, both being extremely competitive, had to use the gym each morning and knock out some Zwift miles! Watson, the miniature Schnauzer, loved the walks to the church and field walk provided in the welcome folder. The beaches were heaven for him too – he particularly enjoyed the cliff walk from Overstrand to Cromer (via Royal Cromer golf course) and Happisburgh beach, which was tennis ball chasing bliss. We had an excellent meal at the Buck’s Arms at Blickling – super large portions! What was lovely was knowing you were coming back to a wonderful, lovely place to spend the evening. Even the Wifi was good enough to watch the Ashes. Paul and Sian were lovely hosts and although they could not solve all the medico-pharmacy related problems in the country they had everything covered for our short break here. We have so enjoyed our 5 nights. Beautiful barn and thank you Paul and Sian for your friendly approach. Highlights; Blickling Hall – a must and inside the house is fascinating. Horsey windpump and Horsey Gap beach – so many seals – loved it. East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens – must be the most magical privately owned gardens in the UK – a must see. Paul & Sian, The early start wasn’t too bad – hope we didn’t wake when we left just after 4! We were in Newcastle by 0930 hrs and home mid afternoon. Thank you for being on top of everything when we needed your help. The highlight for our kids was definitely Madrilena (the horse) and Dash (the dog), and Amalia (our youngest) has already requested more Dash time when we come back! For thing that we recommend; visiting Blickling Hall at night…perfect for a postcard picture. It was such a joy to explore what Norfolk had to offer but to come back to the barn was such a win, thank you. We have had a fantastic holiday in Hoste Barn! The conversion is amazing – from the shell you brought to the beautiful place you have created. The underfloor heating is wonderful – so nice to have warm toes on getting out of the shower and making a cuppa. Downstairs bathroom is gorgeous – love the fabulous shower! We left the shutters open so waking to the light in the upstairs bedroom was a great way to start the day. Getty out of that comfy bed wasn’t that easy, though…. The kitchen is so well equipped and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. We booked very last minute and this was not a problem for Sian and Paul. We arrived and the barn was lovely and warm and what a great setting. We only stayed for a couple of days but felt relaxed and settled straight away and there wasn’t anything we wanted or needed, everything had been thought of. Had a splendid break with fantastic weather for the end of October! Amazing crabbing at Wells, fabulous kite flying at Brancaster, Broads for boat hire and a few visits to Gunton Arms. Lunch in Thornham in a yurt was quirky fun. Rebecca, Antony, Oliver , Eloise and Hope October Half Term 2016
My family and I had an amazing stay at Hoste Barn. I would recommend crabbing at Wells, climbing the rocks on the beach in Brancaster and riding the bikes in the paddock and on the lanes outside the house. Tom the collie and Madrilena the horse were great fun to play with. Thank you for an amazing stay! There is also an amazing Waitrose in North Walsham Hope and Eloise age 9yr twins Oct Half Term 2016

This was our 2nd visit to Hoste Barn and once again it did not disappoint! There are some wonderful walks in the area including at local National Trust properties. But most importantly the barn was so super to come back to for some relaxation. Christmas Week 2013. The Blake family have enjoyed a lovely time at Hoste Barn for the festivities. It provides the perfect setting for family celebrations – spacious, stylish and cosy. It is the third time of visiting for me (Jess) and I am sure it won’t be the last. Thanks for making us feel so welcome – we even got a surprise visit from Santa himself
